Applied Management [Horse] is for managers, supervisors, or people who wish to work up to these positions within their industry. Alternative Agriculture is for people wishing to work in alternative areas of agriculture as a farm manager, technical representatives, trainers or consultants. Agriculture Certificate is for technicians working in Agriculture. Equine Studies teaches students how to care for horses, manage equine events, and run a successful equine farm. Animal Husbandry is a broad-based program that can be adapted to include a number of horse care modules. Agriculture – Animal Husbandry is for those people wishing to work with animal production at a technician or management level. Short Courses: Animal Anatomy and Physiology covers care and/or management of animals in domesticated or wild situations. Animal Breeding covers genetic theory, practical applications to daily husbandry practice, and management of animal breeding programs. Animal Husbandry II and III cover animal health and feeding. Horse Care I-III covers terminology, horse psychology, tack, parts of the body, the digestive system, evaluating the value of a paddock, grooming, business applications, management of horses, health problems, and proper horse care. Equine Behavior provides a foundation for more sensitive and informed care and training of horses based on its inherent nature. Students can design a course tailored to their specific needs.
