English Equitation, Western Equitation and three levels of Horse Training Classes are offered as part of the Equestrian Science program. Students have the opportunity to bring their own horse or use a college horse. Both the Equestrian Science and Horse Science programs provide students with the necessary education and hands-on experience to gain employment in the horse industry or transfer to a college or university in Equine Studies or a related field. The equine programs are supported by three full-time faculty as well as a newly constructed 100ft X 250ft heated indoor arena, high tech classroom, and wet lab. Students have the opportunity to compete on the Horse Judging Team and/or Intercollegiate Horse Show Team. Other extra activities include weekly team roping and barrel racing practices.
