Facilities: 
The BHS approved facilities comprise of indoor and outdoor arenas, livery yard and licensed riding school. The yard is run on a commercial basis giving students a valuable insight into the equine industry.

City & Guilds Certificate in Land-based Studies: Animal & Horse Care - This course combines classroom and practical work with trips, visits and hands on experience in a range of areas. You will cover a variety of subjects including the care, feeding and watering of stock, preparation for exercise, after care and maintaining the health of horses. BTEC First Diploma in Horse Care - This course gives a basic grounding in the industry and is combined with a five week work placement program. You will study a range of subjects including biology, horse care, riding, horse preparation, presentation and industry and organizations. BTEC National Diploma in Horse Management - This course is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in Equine Management. It covers both the theoretical and practical aspects of equine care including equitation, breed development, welfare, the principles of animal science and event management. The course includes a 400 hour work placement and is supported by guest speakers and industry specialists. A range of NVQ programs are also offered at a network of yards within the area, allowing students to study and be assessed in their local area, whilst still benefiting from the expertise and support of college staff.
