The Bachelor of Agricultural Business Management (Equine) is the only complete business degree that enables you to focus on the specialist field of equine business. The course has been developed in consultation with national and international industry. The aim of the course is to provide a solid education in management for rural enterprises, particularly equines, both large and small. The degree program develops and strengthens the knowledge and skills of horse management and handling, nurturing the hands-on involvement with horses. The course integrates all aspects of business management including marketing, finance, human resource management, business law and holistic enterprise management with applied horse husbandry and management. The structure of the course enables students to progress from a position of caring for individual horses and developing an understanding of the different subsystems of a business, to becoming competent at managing commercial enterprises. The course will enable graduates to successfully manage an equine business enterprise. One of the benefits of the course is its flexibility, whereby graduates will obtain a degree of business management, which could be applied to any type of business. In addition, students will be able to enhance their commercial industry skills by completing industry practice in equine related establishments of their choice throughout the course.
