Equine Studies Institute provides a 12-course Horse Training and a 12-course Riding Instructor "certification" program. The courses are college equivalent and are entirely online. Up to six of the courses may be transferred into the Breyer State University (CA) Bachelor of Science degree program for full credit. Both the Horse Trainer and Riding Instructor programs are focused on providing the practical knowledge and skills needed to operate a successful horse business. While the courses are college equivalent, information is offered that has immediate application for today's operations. Students must provide videos of themselves performing the skills learned in various courses. When a student completes four "core courses" the student is awarded "Associate Status," which entitles them to a free web page for their business and referrals.

Faculty (currently 17 instructors) is comprised of award winners with proven records of success in the fields they teach; facutly includes five trainers of World Champion horses.
