This is the only school in Estonia offering training in horse farming as an independent specialty. The program as an independent specialty was started in September of 2001 and is still undergoing alterations in the curriculum. Horse farming is becoming more popular with young people, and the horse farmers from all over the country and the Estonian Horse Farmers Association and Estonian Association of Equestrian Sports support the school. The program is two years in length and is meant for high school graduates. The curriculum modules include Horse Farming, Economics, Supportive Subjects, Apprenticeship/Practical Training on a Horse Farm, and Writing the Final Thesis. The Horse Farming module includes anatomy and physiology of the horse, exterior and work production of the horse, horse breeds and breeding, horse reproduction, horse health care and hygiene, horseback riding and riding as sport, and horse care and feeding. The module of Economics includes basics in entrepreneurship and economics, economic analysis, and bookkeeping. The module of Supportive Subjects includes foreign languages (English or German), IT, environment protection, labor protection, law, communication psychology, and rural tourism.
