The Modern Apprenticeship; Nine-Week Induction Course for inexperienced sixteen- to nineteen-year-old students. Followed by a period of work placement on a stud to achieve NVQ Level 2, and may move on to NVQ Level 3. National Stud Diploma Course is a five-month residential course from February to July each year, leading to the National Stud Diploma. Students work on a public stud with mares and foals, maiden, barren and foaling mares, attend lectures from industry experts. An excellent introduction to the UK Thoroughbred breeding industry with career opportunities to follow.
