Horse Hoof Care and Trimming is a two day course covering basic trimming & maintenance; common lameness; anatomy & confirmation of deformities; training dead feet; different training methods & disciplines. Animal Health Technology is a fascinating two year diploma program with particular appeal to animal lovers, preparing them for rewarding careers in the growing field of animal health care. Highly-rated and accredited by the CVMA, this program has an excellent reputation for producing highly skilled and capable professionals. NAIT’s program course materials focus on the four domestic species (horses, cattle, dogs and cats) 50% large and 50% small. With a working farm on campus and a partnership with Prairie Animal Rescue there are exceptional opportunities for students to become actively involved in daily animal care.
