Equine Business Management Major - This major will provide you with the training to perform in equine business and management positions, supported by horse knowledge skills. It is designed to encourage the development of entrepreneurs in this field. A graduate may enter the industry as a sales and marketing representative, retail business person, pharmaceutical sales representative, events competitions manager, as well as business manager of a large farm. Equine Production and Breeding Management Major - This major gives you the opportunity to learn and to perform the modern techniques used in breeding horses and management of the foaling mare and neonate. The major also gives you the opportunity to gain experience in the management of a production enterprise. Graduates of the major may enter the industry as an assistant at a stallion farm or breeding facility or, as an owner-operator. Horsemanship Major - The Horsemanship major will provide you with the entry-level skills to perform in positions at boarding and training stables, related retail enterprises and self-employment. Students in this major will combine academics with a riding program in either the English or Western discipline. Completion of the Horsemanship major may qualify you to be tested for the C.E.F. Coaching Level I Certification.
