Equine students in the AAS program study nutrition and ration formulation, genetics, horse selection, equitation skills, breeding, stallion and broodmare management, horse health, and young stock training, as well as two cooperative education work experience courses in a local equine farm or business. Certificate students cover the same equine studies areas, but without the cooperative education experience or as many general education courses. Stock seat and hunt seat riding styles are included.
