The Education Block comprises of an auditorium, which seats 55 people comfortably and has full audio-visual facilities, a video library, anatomical models, and other educational aids. Adjacent to the auditorium is a classroom that has a small library and fourteen desks, and an IT training room with fifteen stations and broadband Internet access. There are indoor and outdoor arenas, 34 stables and an all-weather gallop, hurdle course, gymnasium, games hall and racehorse simulator room.

The Racing Academy and Centre of Education (RACE) is based on a 30-acre campus, located on the Dublin Road, just outside Kildare Town. RACE recognizes the need for ongoing training and education of adults currently working in the horseracing and breeding industries at every level. Racehorse trainers, restricted trainers, apprentice and amateur jockeys, and secretaries have attended courses and seminars at the RACE complex. Apprentice Course includes rules of racing, mock steward’s inquiry, communication skills, mock interview, race-riding technique, whip use, safety and fitness, fitness assessment, literacy skills, diet, personal finance, professionalism, trainers association, and jockeys association. Trainers’ Course includes rules of racing, administration, Turf Club, sales procedures, maintenance of gallops, racing injuries, horse nutrition, handicapping, trainers association, owners association, business planning, taxation, management issues, legal responsibilities, computer skills, communication skills, human resource management, health and safety, and marketing. Qualified Riders’ Course includes rules of racing, safety and fitness, race-riding technique, whip use, and pre-race preparation. Restricted Trainers Course includes rules of racing, administration, Turf Club, sales procedures, maintenance of gallops, racing injuries, veterinary hospital, horse nutrition, handicapping, equine center, breaking procedure, saddling procedure, and turnout for racing.
