School Information
Type of School:
Elementary and Seconday School
Tuition Costs:
Riding Program: Group and private lessons, $55-$65 each. Varied academic tuition in grades pre-kindergarten through grade 12, with a boarding program for high school girls only.
Facilities:
The school is home to 34 horses and ponies. Some are lesson horses, the rest are privately owned. The school has three arenas, two outdoors, and one covered, and access to miles of trails.
Class ratio:
As all instruction takes place at the stables, we emphasize hands-on education. Our lessons range from private to up to 4 riders.
Showing:
We attend horse shows all over northern California, from local schooling shows to A-rated shows.

At the San Domenico Riding School, we teach Hunt Seat Equitation and the fundamentals of horsemanship. Students learn to ride the horses at walk, trot and canter and many become proficient enough to jump. Safe handling of horses, both on foot and mounted is emphasized. Students are called upon to develop responsibility, concentration, self-control, self-discipline, good sportsmanship, as well as respect and consideration for animals and mutual respect and support for one another. For students with a strong commitment to riding, who are interested in horse-show competition, the San Domenico trainers offer additional opportunities.
