Facilities: 
Glenormiston boasts a simulated workplace. The stud presently has about 60 horses and stands a number of commercial Thoroughbred stallions as well as an Andalusion stallion and a Riding Pony stallion and includes a state-of-the-art AI laboratory. Facilities for the maintenance of student-owned horses include day and night yards, a hot water wash, and indoor/outdoor arenas. Recreational facilities include a tennis court, swimming pool and fully equipped gymnasium.

Certificate II in Equine Industry is a starter level course for those wanting to gain work in the equine industry. This program is only available by flexible delivery. Certificate IV in Horse Management is a program that can be studied full-time for one year or its equivalent by flexible delivery. The program leads those wanting a career in the horse industry into middle management in a training stable, on a horse stud or in an equestrian stable. Advanced Diploma of Horse Management is a program that can be studied full-time for two years or its equivalent by flexible delivery. Skills, knowledge and expertise gained during the course equip students to work with different levels of industry members in a higher managerial role. Students learn all aspects of foaling and breeding. Students are given the opportunity to gain their Artificial Insemination certificate (a requirement by a number of breed societies in Australia) with the use of the state-of-the-art AI laboratory. Students gain valuable management experience being required to assist in general management of the stud as well as foaling down mares. Students are fortunate to have at their disposal, a range of horses with which to conduct training, behavior, and exercise physiology projects.
