Ranch Management students acquire knowledge and skills in the classroom and in field laboratory settings, and receive practical,hands-on teaching under highly qualified instructors. Upon successful completion of the Ranch Management A.A.S., students will be prepared for a career in some facet of the livestock industry, either working directly with a phase of production, or working indirectly through one of the many support industries. Classes include Artificial Insemination and Beef Pregnancy Checking. TVCC just approved an option to add to the Ranch Management degree for Horse Production and Training. It is an AAS two-year degree. It has the core curriculum of Ranch Management but has 13 new Horse Production classes not found in the Ranch Management degree. Students may also transfer to Oregon State University, Eastern Oregon State College, or the University of Idaho through the "Block Transfer" agreements.
