Two to ten instructed rides per week; riding class size limit of ten students. Specialty riding classes include: hunt, saddle and stock seat; light horse driving, breaking and training. Equine and animal science courses in equine reproduction with emphasis on assisted reproductive techniques, production, exercise physiology, management and evaluation include lab practices. Stallions and broodmares on premise. Mandatory internship experience. Equine Science degrees prepare students with the hands-on experience and theoretical background to enter the horse industry as farm managers for breeding/training/boarding facilities, trainers/instructors, feed/pharmaceutical/tack sales, breed organization administration. Pre-vet concentration fulfills requirements for application to the University of Minnesota—College of Veterinary Medicine.
