Facilities: 
138-acre farm with lots of turnout and stabling for over 100 horses. School owns over 70 horses. Stalls are available for student owned horses on a limited basis. Hot and cold wash racks, two indoor and one out door arena, cross-country course. 10 minutes from the main campus.
Showing: 
Lots of opportunities to compete in schooling and rated shows held on and off campus. Riding teams compete in IHSA, IDA and ANRC. College hosts the VI Classic—a USEF “A” rated show held each spring. Students work the show as part of a lab practicum.

Intensive hands-on instruction in riding, stable management and horse training focused on real-life skills for those with the goal of being professionals in the horse industry. Small classes, lots of personal instruction and knowledgeable faculty. Riding teams have captured nine national titles from 2001-2006 and have a winning record in Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), Affiliated National Riding Commission (ANRC) and Intercollegiate Dressage Association competition that is difficult to match anywhere. Independent study opportunities available. Internships are part of the program. Great job placement record with all those graduates seeking work in the horse industry finding jobs upon graduation.
